Worth it!! - Chamila is a gem and you can trust him 100%. We did have few niggles with respect to our timings and itinerary during late nights. But it was more of... read more a cultural thing than the commitment. There was no point in our 11 day trip that we had doubted on our safety and trust. The driver (Tushara) he provided was also a very good person. He was moody at times but on the first day we met, he and Chamila helped us from ruining our trip. I misplaced my duffel bag at the airport near the exit seating area. I only figured it out when we reached Bentota (2.5+ hours from the airport. Though I kept calling the airport officials and resolved most of the issue. Both Chamila and Tushara never discouraged and supported me from their side with calls & intent. In the end we reached within 2.5-3 hours time from the moment we realized my laptop/camera duffel bag was gone. Thanks to the Honorable staff in airport there they did figure out where my bag was and gave it back to me.

Verdict:
We did have few niggles here and there but those were very tiny fraction. The main thing as a tourist from other country we look for is trust/safety/honor. They checked all those big boxes. Hence I would rate them 5/5. And would definitely go with them next time but with understanding few factors well ahead to avoid those tiny niggles. I would recommend them and would give a big thumbs up for any tourist to use their services.

Notes to consider: If you want to take a train trip to Ella from Ohiya / Kandy, you should find a way to book a tickets about a week or two before. Local sim card can be obtained not only in airport (and Dialog seems to be a decent one).

He met us in Mirissa and took us to Ella passing by a lot of nice places, including a park where we could interact with elephants along the road. In Ella, he did with us a tour to the waterfalls and tea plantations. In the next day he drove us to the airport and also stopping in places to take photos, eat or even take a shower before the flight. We really recommend it!
